Biochar is a charcoal for agriculture that, once inoculated and activated, is a rich source of compost and beneficial microbes. Compost lasts a season; biochar lasts for decades compared to compost.  Biochar serves to drought-proof your soil & provide a steady, rich, diverse bank of beneficial soil food web workers. 

Sold in 7 gal bag. Application: this package covers 4x8 garden bed (32 sq ft area) at the recommended 10% rate. If you want a different quantity, figure $10/gallon. We’ll arrange pick up, and I will send you directions about biochar activation & application when you order.
